I did not reveal my name to them -Exodus 6:2-3

There’s so much good stuff in the Bible Reading today, but here’s 1 of my favorites:

“And God said to Moses, “I am Yahweh—‘the Lord.’ I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as El-Shaddai—‘God Almighty’ —but I did not reveal my name, Yahweh, to them.”

Exodus‬ ‭6:2-3‬ ‭NLT

Abraham is the father of our faith. He walked with God, ate with Him, talked with Him. God performed amazing things thru Abraham, in fact, the whole world is blessed because of his family... & yet he did not even know God’s real name.

The lesson: there IS ALWAYS more to be revealed about God. Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob lived their whole lives serving the Lord faithfully but they only knew Him as “God Almighty.”

Moses & the Israelites needed “The LORD: the Great I Am.”

I don’t know how closely you walk with God, or by what name you’re calling him, but there is more. HE IS more. God is what you need in your life. When your trial is too much, HE IS waiting to reveal another aspect of His faithfulness. Don’t give up.
